Hello Friend.

I planted some seeds and sat them in my kitchen window - hoping the inner gardener in me would come out and something would sprout...this is what I saw this morning when I went to water them. :-)

The two on the far left are sunflowers, the next few are tomatoes (little, teeny sprouts showing on those!) Nothing on the peppers just yet...but I'm so happy my sunflowers are peeking out!

I'M SO EXCITED!!!!

I will not be attending this specific event,

but will keep you all posted on any future events!!

My Favorite "R"'s Continued...

I haven't finished my favorite "R"'s list - so here's another! My RED JACKET! In Mary Kay, once you have three members on your team you become a Star Team Builder and get to wear the Red Jacket. In mid-February I decided I wanted that Red Jacket! A few days later, I had my third team member and qualified to order my Red Jacket on 2/28. My team is awesome. They are great friends, business partners and they get it. I'm so glad to have them with me to run with! I don't have a picture of all of us together...definitely going to have to work on that!

Here I am speaking at our meeting. Next to me is our incredible director Julie. Our unit is #1 in the state! And yes, she drives a pink Cadillac - has for YEARS! (And it's sweet!)

So what's next on the career path? Ultimately, I want to be a director and earn my own pink Caddy! But I'll start by earning my first car, a 2010 Pontiac G6 by Halloween! (If not sooner!)

Can you get excited about driving a brand new car at no cost to you?!?!

Because I know I sure can!

I know someone who knows a millionaire! My sister-in-law's medical office closed last year. One of her previous co-workers just won the Hoosier Lotto! How cool is that?! I always wonder about the people who win - this time it was someone who really needed it. Congrats Shantay!

Not Sure I'm Cut Out For This "Mommy" Gig...

After a fun-filled Easter, the kids and I took long naps (Brenna and I slept from about 4 to 9:30...oops! She's been teething and hasn't been sleeping well, so obviously we both needed it) She is back in bed and Riley and I are catching up on cartoons. He has got the biggest imagination and lately has been making up new friends and pets. Tonight he really threw me for a loop...

Riley: MOMMY! My new dog Barney *imaginary* is dead!

Me: What?!

Riley: (now getting upset) He's deeaaadd

Me: Are you sure he's not sleeping?

Riley: NO he's dead. I miss him. I want him back. *then he starts to sob

What the heck just happened here? We went from enjoying cartoons to a dead dog in 2.5 seconds flat! And he was REALLY upset about it! I was a little flabbergasted. We haven't talked about death so I'm not sure where this came from.

I hugged him, told him everything would be okay, and offered some chocolate milk. I distinctly remember chocolate milk cheering me up when I was about his age and watched "Follow That Bird" - which I'm still convinced is one of the saddest movies ever, even though I haven't seen it in probably 24 years. Why don't kids come with manuals that tell you how to handle situations like this?

Baby For Sale...

She's cute, cuddly and eats everything (including her own socks!) at only 10 cents - she's quite a bargain! (Riley was 'helping' me price things for a garage sale...apparently we'll have a special table to sell little sisters.)

Yesterday I was putting the slipcover back on the

loveseat. Here's how it played out...

*Riley jumps up on the loveseat as I'm trying to wrestle the slipcover back on...*

Me: Riley - get down!

Riley: Otaaaay mommy, you're freaking me out!

I'm freaking him out?? We know where he gets his new phrase, "Are you kidding me?" (*cough* from me - ahem) but this one threw us off.

He's so dang funny!
