Mr. Know-It-All

We've had some attitude issues with Riley lately. It seems that now that he is in Kindergarten he knows EVERYTHING. And argues about EVERYTHING. Today is the 100th day of school and he insists that this is the last day for the entire year. You reach 100 days, you don't have to go to school anymore. Oh buddy, if only that's how things worked.

Here are some other things he's argued about:

• My name isn't Bethany - it's Befany.
• God was wrong because he decided I should have Riley first and not Brenna. Brenna was supposed to be the oldest.
• It's not Phineas and FerB, it's Phineas and FerVE. Even though I've shown him the title in print several times.

It's maddening. And I have to remind myself constantly that he's (almost) six, he's asserting himself and to choose my battles.

My girls will be easier. Because girls are more rational - especially during those teen years, right? (Lord, HELP ME!)
