Hey! It's Okay Tuesday!

It's Okay to...

  • think eating cottage cheese with fruit is disgusting. Give me pepper and fresh tomato with mine please!
  • hear someone thin complain they are fat and wonder what they must think of me. (On second thought, this is NOT okay!)
  • not believe that tomorrow is August. Where has this summer gone?
  • be excited for my kids to start school, but sad at the same time. I'll miss having Riley and Brenna around all day!
  • wish my MUCH older husband a Happy 32nd birthday tomorrow!

Hey! It's Okay Tuesday!

It's Okay to...
Like this, but add me in leather pants. Hugh Jackman can stay I suppose.

  • want to be in a movie where I get to walk in slow motion away from an explosion behind me.
  • still not know what I want to be when I grow up.
  • be shocked at the sanctions against Penn State, but feel that they are necessary. Hopefully people will now think very hard before trying to cover up such a heinous crime. Ethics and safety should always take a higher place than football.
  • have a short list for this week.

Super Boy

Super Boy (And his sidekick Lucy) headed out for a swim.

We have a kiddie pool.

Not sure the floaties are useful, but you should never question a Super Hero on his uniform.

Hey! It's Okay Tues...er...Wednesday!

It's okay to:

  • be fashionably late.
  • laugh out loud while reading Tina Fey's book Bossypants. I'm only on page 8!
  • cherish that walk around the car when you buckle that last child in until you get in the driver's seat. It's a 5 second walk, but it's SILENT.
  • never be caught up with laundry. As long as everyone has one clean pair of underwear, you're good.

Hey! It's Okay Tuesday!

It's Okay to...

Mmmmm....come to momma!

  • Drool over the back-to-school ads like some women drool over Magic Mike.
  • Obsessively check amazon.com to see if they have any new Kindle books for free.
  •  Have no desire to ever do a craft that involves crayons and a hair dryer. {kudos to those of you who have - just seems like a big mess to me.}
  • On that same note, really not want 1,000 mason jar projects in my house. They'd go unfinished and it would just be one big redneck haven with all the mason jars laying around.
  • Buy generic for everything except toilet paper. I will not skimp when it comes to TP.

MPM - Back in the Saddle

The most mundane things fascinate me. I'm thrilled when someone goes grocery shopping, piles all of their goodies on the table for a picture, then blogs about it. (Rachel used to do this all of the time and it's one of the reasons I got hooked on her blog.) The same goes for menus. I LOVE reading what people eat. Sometimes I think, "Ooh that sounds good!" and other times I think, "There is no way I could get my family to even try that."  Mostly I'm just intrigued by the everyday-ness of what people shop for and eat.

I used to blog my menus and stopped. But I kept planning (for the most part) and kept reading menus, just stopped writing them down. So since I'm sure I'm not the only menu-dork out there, I'm blogging mine again for your reading pleasure.

You're welcome.

Breakfasts
Waffles
Cereal
Apple Strudel muffins
Scrambled Eggs and toast

Lunches
Gwilled Cheese
Quesadillas
Chicken Nuggets
PB&J
Leftovers

Dinners
Chicken Fajitas
Breakfast Burritos
Taco Salad
Burgers
Stir Fry
Pizza

"Gwilled" cheese is not a typo! Ever since we saw this on Looney Tunes, we can't manage to say it the normal way!

What are you eating this week?

*I'm linking this up over at OrgJunkie. Hop over and read the TONS of menus posted!
