Life is Just So Daily

Summer vacation begins tomorrow. Tomorrow! In my effort to be more organized this summer, I made a loose daily schedule. I'm hoping this will keep us flowing from one activity to the next and prevent the kids from getting sucked into cartoons (or me getting sucked into Pinterest!) So here is what we will probably be doing...

8:00 AM - Up & eat breakfast
9:00 AM - Morning Chores, get dressed, teeth brushed
10:00 AM - OUTSIDE! (my goal for this summer is to wear the kids out everyday. Being outside will be a big factor in that. Plus it will help me make sure I maintain my garden.)
12:00 PM - Lunch & Clean-up
1:00PM - Rest (Gracie's normal nap time), Quiet Time (Puzzles, books, maybe crafts)
3:00 PM - Snack
4:00 PM - Learning (Riley's amazing teacher is sending home packets with the kids to help them avoid losing all that knowledge over the summer. If the kids complete the packets, she takes them on mini-adventures! Since Brenna is starting preschool in the fall, I'd like to make sure she can recognize all of her letters and can write her name before starting.)
5:00 PM - Outside - basically getting rid of them so I can work on dinner
6:00 PM - Dinner and usual nighttime routine!

I'm going to use this and see what works. I'd like to be so organized that I have a breakfast/lunch/dinner menu and crafts already planned out for the week. But I'll save that for another supermom to achieve. :)

Are you going to schedule your days this summer?

  1. I am impressed! We have been on break for two weeks already. I dont necessarily have a daily schedule but a weekly Schedule.
    Monday:Park
Tuesday: We have free movie day at the local theater or Free Swimming at the pool with playgroup
    Wednesday: Story time
Thursday: Play group at the school
Friday: Some Awesome Craft or something.
I also try to have a meal plan everyweek. It makes it so much easier and I dont want to go out to eat EVERY Day!
I sure wish we lived closer, I think we would have an AMAZING summer :)

  2. During the summer we basically just do whatever. No set plans, really.
